  • North - Ice Damage

Tour the UM Biological Station in Pellston with Robert Fahey of UConn who is doing ice damage research there. There is an optional silviculture workshop after lunch from 1 to 3 for foresters working on the Emergency Forest Restoration Program with FSA and DNR. Limit 30 participants.

  • East - Canada Creek Ranch

Explore Canada Creek Ranch with its forester Terry Manty of Green Timber Consulting Foresters to learn about their wildlife management, timber harvests and carbon credits. Canada Creek Ranch is a 13,500 acre private hunt club about 45 minutes east of Treetops. Limit 25 participants.

  • South - Prescribed Fire

Join GraceAnna Cooper of the DNR on a recent Rx fire somewhere around Gaylord. Or maybe a workshop to start on your burn boss credential? More details soon...
